She kind of grudgingly came over and contemptuously fixed what we had been doing wrong. The last remaining employee (after reading the review below I wonder if shes the owner) was about five feet away at the cash register and heard my friend and I talking as we tried to figure out what to do, but she never offered any help. I got that skein wound because shed set it up for me, but I couldnt get the next skein to wind. One staff member stayed to help me for a minute before leaving (it was still about five minutes before closing time). I purchased my yarn and then went to the ball winder, which is when things got worse. I went to the cash register about 15 minutes before closing, and the woman there asked what I was making and proceeded to tell me, "That wont be much of a scarf if you use those needles." That might be helpful information (except Id already knitted a scarf on smaller needles, so I knew it would work for what I wanted), but the way it was said made me feel really defensive - like it was said with a nasty attitude, not a helpful one. My most recent experience was shopping there in the evening, shortly before closing. I had one okay experience there, but since then Ive had two rather unpleasant ones, and I wont be back. If you have questions that you think would be helpful for the whole group, feel free to write a comment at the end of this page.I just recently started knitting, and I was really happy to find a yarn store close to my house.
